Ambrosia has not the sweetest of tastes

Against the delight of your lips, my love.

The gods of Olympus would be disgraced

But worshipping you is more than enough.

Your words, as smooth as honey, fill my heart,

Though the sweetest of things become bitter.

The arrows of Eros tear me apart —

You are an addiction sharp as liquor.

Aphrodite’s curse has taken its toll.

I am a fool trapped in my own desire

Banished to Tartarus, exiled my soul;

My passion is to die, consumed by fire.

              This love is death’s sweet kiss, a dying flame —

              For you, my dear, do not love me the same.
